Although Crow Road were only formed 6 months ago their music shows a maturity beyond their years. The three piece from Glasgow, whose name I presume comes from the Iain Bank's book, release their first single, 'What Your Hand Can't Hold', next week. Paul Gibson's distinctive, broad Glaswegian, voice soars above the simple acoustic intro before plugging in the guitar and getting into his musical stride until we get a rousing crescendo where voice and instruments compete for supremacy (with the vocals having the final say).
A stunning debut and full marks to Stuart Mcleod of Beetroot Studios in Airdrie for the sound quality.
The single is being launched on the 19th of May at Nice and Sleazys which will be followed by a mini Scottish tour.
Crow Road are:-
Paul Gibson - Guitar & vocals
Jamie Turner - Lead Guitar
Duncan Kelso - Drums
