Rhode Island Red are a London-based hard rock band formed in late 2009 by guitarist Dave Garfield and vocalist Lyla D'Souza.

Lyla is a London based rock/soul singer songwriter who has been performing across the UK, Europe and Australasia.

Dave has lived and worked in Amsterdam and Cologne, recorded for EMI Germany and BMG Germany and has gigged and recorded all over Europe playing many festivals and TV shows and supported major artists on tour such as Joe Cocker, Rammstein and Die Arzte.
They are joined by Mike McGuinness on Bass, who has played with London based bands such as Ten Second Reload and The Sheen, Rha Stranges on Drums and Andrea Basiola on Guitar.

Although relatively new as a band, individually, they have certainly paid their dues and it shows in this powerhouse of a band. Lyla has possibly the best female rock voice that I've heard and she is ably supported by some superb musicianship. Surely it can't be long before they get signed by a major label and an album is released.

Just one bugbear of mine, the track Beige just fades out at the end. Why?? It must end when played live so why fade it out on the recording?
