Silhouettes are an unsigned band from Wolverhampton and they've recently recorded and produced their debut EP “Paint me as you see me”
It's difficult to believe that this is their recording debut, as the EP has a maturity of sound found in much more experienced musicians. Nathan is not the strongest of vocalists but the edge of vulnerability in his voice provides a beautiful sense of emotion to the songs. This is an excellent start to their recording career and, if life were fair, they'd be snapped up immediately by a major record label (but I guess they're too interested in the next reality TV 'stars')

Silhouettes are four musicians from Wolverhampton who were friends from a young age and began to learn their instruments in their early teens.
They were all raised in a religious organization. All throughout their lives they wrestled with questions around their beliefs and finally they left the religion in 2009. It was a decision that left them somewhat ostracised by close friends and the close knit community they grown up in.
Silhouettes always wanted to pursue a career in music, but attempts were stunted by their restricted lifestyles, so compromises were made. Now, with new freedom to express how they truly feel, they have begun to write songs that aim for the heart of the listener: contrasting real emotion and a search for beauty, with innovation and fusion of styles. Their songs convey a disenchanted - yet hopeful and celebratory - outlook on life and the future.
