The Tiny Giants are a Leeds based three piece band formed at the end of 2009. Their sound of up beat rock mixed with blues and funky undertones, as well as their knack for penning songs with a catchy hook are reminiscent of Wishbone Ash (that's not meant to be an insult as I think that they were, and still are, a damn fine band). They claim, and I've no reason to disbelieve them, that they have built up a loyal fan base in an incredibly short period of time.

Apparantly, the band was formed by a random encounter outside a kebab shop in Leeds city centre in the early hours of one drunken Sunday morning, when Shaun and Aaron spotted James cradling a mixed kebab and singing the Kenny Loggings hit "Danger Zone". So, when you roll home drunk with chilli sauce all over your face, tell the good lady that you were auditioning!

Tiny Giants are to release their debut single ‘You can always come home’ in August on their own label Dog Egg records. The band recently finished recording with Pigeon Detectives producer Andy Hawkins, working in his Cottage Road studios in Leeds to produce their single which will be available on download only. After recently agreeing a distribution deal with Awal, who’s past successes come from The Arctic Monkeys and Editors, the future looks very interesting for the band. 

James Earl, vocalist and guitarist, stated; “Our aim was to create a blend of sounds which we were proud of and are our own and I think we’ve done that with the songs we’ve got."

“We’re doing this by ourselves for now, it’s the best way when you’re starting out and people are starting to take note at this early stage. We want to give people good music to listen to and try and get a guitar band back in the charts eventually.”
