Monday sees the release of the Happiness Blues EP from The Candle Thieves. As well as the title being an oxymoron the Peterborough duo are also something of an enigma. But who are these strange characters? They are Scott McEwan and the mysterious man who hides behind the moniker, The Glock, - two sixth form friends who studied music together at college.
There's nothing odd about the music though, as these four wonderful, perfectly formed tunes with beautiful melodies, soothing keyboards and clever (but just a little odd) lyrics. I urge you check out some of their stuff on MySpace and buy/download the EP - you wont be disappointed.
