Ever wondered what the Pogues would sound like if they had lived in the American Mid-West? No, me neither but Murder By Death is probably as close as you'd get.

Their new album, Good Morning Magpie, is released today and a 'stonking' collection of songs it is. They hail from Bloomington, Indiana and have been together 10 years. Although not particularly well known in the UK, this is their 5th album and this may be the one which finally gets them recognition.
